David Hay, GM of FGI, joins AIMEX Board

“David Hay, GM at FGI, joins the AIMEX Board.”    Jeni Bone    David Hay to the AIMEX board replacing Steve Taylor whose role within Nuplex had changed making him ineligible to stay on the board.

Alistair Jamal Director of AIMEX thanked Steve for all the effort & support he had given to AIMEX over the years & wished him well in his future role. Alistair said it was significant to have new people coming onto the board, particular somebody with David’s business experience.

The AIMEX board looks forward to working with David in increasing export sales within the nautical business.

FGI is long term AIMEX member & larger provider for the nautical business.

David Hay has worked in the composites business for 20 years & has been with Nuplex seeing that April 1987, when he joined Fibre Glass National in technical sales & marketing role. B

efore joining FGI he was working in South Korea on joint venture with huge Korean sailboat building firm to manufacture craft for the Seoul Olympics.

David was promoted to NSW State Administrator of FGI in 1997 & became Business Administrator of Nuplex Special Resins in June ‘01.

Now as Common Administrator of FGI he’s committed to maintaining high level of quality in all aspects of the business.

FGI is long-time sponsor of AIMEX & in particular the key networking function held at the Sydney National Sailboat Show. FGI has been implicated on the AIMEX stand at METS, IBEX, Dubai & China ensuring that their global profile is significant.
