Sanctuary Show Draws Interest to AIMEX members

Photo: Sanctuary Show Draws Interest to AIMEX members . The 20th Sanctuary Cove National Sailing Boat Show drew national buyers which brought significant results for members of the Australian National Nautical Export Group (AIMEX).

The peak body which represents leading Australian nautical exporters supported the National Business Lounge along with Austrade, the Queensland Government, Silver Shore City Council & Sanctuary Cove National Yacht Show. The 20th Sanctuary Cove National Sailing Boat Show ran from April 22 to 25, ‘08.

AIMEX Chief Executive Mary Anne Edwards said that more than 40 national buyers visited the centre from Taiwan, China, Unified Arab Emirates, India, Malaysia & Thailand.

‘We were pleased to be implicated in the facility which held two key networking happy hours attended by AIMEX members & key business stakeholders,” said Ms Edwards.

‘There was steady stream of visitors & our members establish it an superb opportunity to meet national buyers & hold business meetings.” The facility was located at Jabiru House, Sanctuary Cove in middle location within the Yacht Show precinct.

Ms Edwards said Austrade representatives attended from about the world & within Australia including China, Thailand, Taiwan & the Unified Arab Emirates.

‘The Sanctuary Cove National Yacht Show was besides very wealthy for our members,” said Ms Edwards.

‘AIMEX members including Riviera & Maritimo to name few recorded wealthy sales.”

Attendance at leading national sailboat shows is just one marketing element of the AIMEX group. Other marketing activities include an informative website () & regular updates on the business with Exporter journal.

The group is attending the Korea National Sailboat Show in May & will attend IBEX in the US & METS late in ‘08.
